Session Description:
Ready to bring computer science to life in your classroom? Join us for a virtual exploration of Code.org’s Computer Science Discoveries (CSD) 2024 course through its flexible, self-paced modules. Whether you're new to coding or already integrating computer science into your curriculum, this session will guide you through the CSD curriculum structure, highlight key teaching strategies, and show you how to navigate the Code.org platform with ease. Participants will have time to explore each unit, engage with sample lessons, and reflect on ways to adapt the content for their classrooms. You’ll leave with resources, ideas, and a clear roadmap for using the self-paced modules to support student learning and creativity in computer science.
This workshop will be held virtually with two half-day orientation sessions in July, and four follow-up office hours sessions during the 2025-26 academic school year.
